Sleepless Footscray is a nonprofit creative studio in the heart of Footscray, offering affordable recording access through weekly studio residencies and casual hire. It’s built as an accessible home base for music, sound and screen work, with studio income reinvested into artist development, participation programs (including NDIS-suitable pathways), and year-round cultural activity in Footscray.

The studio is split into three dedicated spaces: a synth and piano room, a focused control room built around Apollo conversion and outboard, and a live room with warm, characterful acoustics. Guitars, bass, drums, hardware synths, microphones, monitoring, PA, lighting and projection are on hand so you can walk in and start writing, recording, mixing, scoring or editing without wrestling the setup.

Sleepless is designed as a walk-in, plug-in-and-create environment for producers, songwriters, bands, composers, sound designers and filmmakers. Book casual sessions when you need them, or lock in a weekly residency to build consistent momentum and a real Footscray base for your practice and clients.
